Crisp, Clear, Cold Morning
There's nothing like standing out on the school crossing on a crisp, clear, cold morning to get the thoughts into some sort of order. I have a couple of major projects to get started on, but to get started, I need to go through some preliminary stages, which were defeating me mentally.
I've mentioned this passage linen press cupboard before, probably about 2 years ago, as no longer fit for purpose; it wasn't fit for purpose 40 years ago when we moved here. I was happy to shelve it back then, (2 years ago) as we prepared for our 2024 overseas travel. Now, it's reared its ugly head again, and I've just got to tackle it. This means finding the money (by a circuitous route which involves using internet banking products not previously used)and moving belongings around the house. Moving belongings means making decisions about what to keep, and what to donate to the Op Shop.

So, I got a bit of a go on this afternoon, and moved items out of the drawers in the lounge to bags ready for the Op Shop, moved items from the catering cupboard into the drawers, and the catering cupboard will next house the travel bags and stuff. I'm not planning to do any big catering at home anymore, as I did back in the day after the church walks. Have just kept enough crockery, platters and coffee cups for our own use plus the odd visitor or two.
At the moment, the new cupboard is just pie in the sky thinking, as I've got to grapple with the banking issue, and that won't happen until I grapple with a church banking issue. One task at a time, and all shall be well....
